Fall deadline nears for Angel of Hope memory blocks

The fall ordering deadline for new memory blocks at the Perham Area Angel of Hope Memorial Park has been set. Anyone interested in having a memory block added to the wall at the park must order by Monday, Oct. 1.

An order form for a memory block is on the brochure. The cost for a memory block is $150. Each block includes three lines of information.

The park, located at the corner of 3rd Ave. and 6th Ave. NE in Perham, was dedicated on Sept. 24, 2004.

The idea for the park was born from the deepest grief any parent, sibling, grandparent, extended family, or friend will ever feel - the grief resulting from the death of a child.

The names on the Memory Walls of the memorial are the names of children of all ages. The park is a special place to grieve, hope and heal - a place to remember and celebrate the lives of children. New memory blocks are added to the park walls every spring and fall.

The Angel of Hope committee is also always looking for volunteers to help with flower gardens at the park, and to assist with an annual candlelight vigil, held every Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
