Fergus Falls man dies in Christmas Eve crash near Osage
DETROIT LAKES -- Authorities have identified the man killed in a head-on collision Christmas eve in Becker County.
Robert Krensing, 34, of Fergus Falls was killed in the crash. He was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Keli Krensing, also 34.
Keli Krensing, along with three other passengers, all sustained minor injuries. Those passengers were Allison Krensing, 11; Kaitlyn Krensing, 7; and Myia Krensing, 3, all of Fergus Falls.
Donald Larson, 67, of Detroit Lakes, was westbound when he crossed the center line on a curve and his 2005 Dodge Caravan collided head-on with the oncoming Krensing vehicle, according to the incident report.
Larson was not injured.
The accident was reported at about 5:30 p.m. on Highway 34 at mile marker 61, about 13 miles west of Park Rapids, according to an incident report from the Minnesota State Patrol.
Icy conditions were present on the roadway at the time of the accident, the state patrol reported.
