WALKER — The Perham boys golf season came to a close Tuesday at the Section 8AA meet at Long Bow Golf Course in Walker with the Yellowjackets finishing in sixth place.

Senior Nate Bormann shot an 81 to lead Perham, followed by sophomore Eric Huus with an 84 and junior Blake Kunza shot an 86.

Chris Swenson and Keaton Lausch of the section champion Fergus Falls Otters shot 74 each to win co-Medalist honors.

Will Czeh of Roseau (75), Aaron Sparby of Thief River Falls (75), Brady Heppner of Crookston (76), Brandon Love of East Grand Forks (76), and Hawley’s Cody Cook (78) all qualified as individuals for the State AA meet next week in Jordan, Minn.

The Otters knocked off Detroit Lakes, who finished third behind Crookston. The Lakers were the four-time defending section champions.

Other Perham scores were: Nick Bahls - 89; Ben Nelson - 90, and Bryce Thompson - 106.

Team results: Fergus Falls 310, Crookston 315, Detroit Lakes 319, Roseau 321, East Grand Forks 324, Perham 340.

Perham scores: Nate Bormann 81, Eric Huus 84, Blake Kunza 86, Nick Bahls 89, Ben Nelson 90, Bryce Thompson 106.

Co-Medalists: Chris Swenson, Keaton Lausch, Fergus Falls - 74.

State qualifiers: Wil Czeh, Roseau 75, Aaron Sparby, Thief River Falls 75, Brady Heppner, Crookston 76, Brandon Love, East Grand Forks 76, Cody Cook, Hawley 78.
