First National Bank raises funds for breast cancer research
Employees of First National Bank of Henning, Ottertail and Battle Lake have raised $1,861 for the benefit of breast cancer research.
Funds were raised during bake sales held at the banks every Friday in October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Bank employees baked the goods sold.
Funds were donated to the Lake Region Cancer and Research Center in Fergus Falls.
"It was important to our employees that these funds be donated locally," said Kaeli Dorn, Human Resource Officer at First National Bank. "Our employees understand the importance of teaming up as a community to help out one another. We are pleased that our funds will be used to help give cancer patients and their families options closer to home."
The First National Banks of Henning, Ottertail and Battle Lake are independently owned and operated community banks offering a range of financial products and services.
