Former Perham author's first book begins new ministry
Linda Fossen, formerly of Perham, could not have anticipated the response she would get to her first book entitled "Out of the Miry Clay: Freedom from Childhood Sexual Abuse" published in June of 2008.
What started as a book to help one other person who was suffering in silence has become a new ministry for Linda Fossen.
She recently conducted a three-day seminar at a Florida maximum-security women's prison and had the same group of 250 women for five hours a day.
Linda spends most of her days on her computer responding to the many people who contact her for help and support.
Linda's new ministry called "I Am Whole, Inc." is a 501C-3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims of sexual abuse find freedom from their pain by providing resource material, education and support so that lives that have been shattered by abuse can be restored to wholeness through Jesus Christ. She donates books to prisons and wants to take the "Healing and Forgiveness" seminar to other prisons as well.
Her donated books are also reaching women on death row and in solitary confinement. Linda has plans to become ordained at her home church under Pastor Will Fillingham of Storehouse Family Worship in Orlando.
For information on her new ministry, visit her website at www.lindafossen.com or contact her at P.O. Box 193, Tavares, FL 32778.
The book is available locally at Ma's Little Red Barn and Bev's Book Nook in Perham, Victor Lundeen in Fergus Falls and Book World in Detroit Lakes.
