Crissy Moran, a former pornographic actress, will be sharing her story with the people of Perham this Sunday.

At 3 p.m. at the Comet Theater, she will be interviewed by Pastor Dirk Currier of Northwoods Assembly. Currier will be leading a discussion about pornography and its effects on culture and community.

The public will have the chance to ask questions, such as: How does a pastor's daughter get into porn? What can I do to keep my children and grandchildren from being exposed to porn? How do you know if your spouse is viewing porn?

Materials will be shared that may help people protect their families and computers from the negative effects of pornography.

"I worked in the porn industry for six years," states Moran in a press release. "Porn was never my dream, it wasn't even much of a thought. I came from a broken home. I always searched for love. I thought that my sexuality was all I had. I thought it was the only thing that could bring me love. I never wanted fame or money. I just wanted love."

Now, five years after leaving that world behind, Moran shares her story in the hopes of preventing others from getting into the porn industry: "My passion is to let other women know they are worth much more than their sexuality. Society and media will tell us different. It's true, though... you are precious. You are worthy of love. You are special. No matter how hard of a road you have been down, there is hope for you."

Moran will also be sharing on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at Northwoods Assembly, and Saturday evening at 7 p.m. at the Center for the Arts Theater in Fergus Falls.
