Gabriele Grunewald to Run at DecaNation and Zagreb World Challenge Aug. 30 and Sept. 2;
Minneapolis/St. Paul – Aug. 27, 2014 – Team USA Minnesota’s Gabriele Grunewald will run in two track meets in Europe over the next week.
Grunewald will run the 800 meters as part of the U.S. team at the DecaNations Track & Field meet in Valence, France, on Aug. 30.
The meet is organized by the French Athletics Federation and has been held since 2005 with eight nations participating. She has a best of 2:01.38 in the 800m.
Next up on Grunewald’s European track schedule will be the IAAF World Challenge Zagreb in Croatia on Sept. 2 where she will compete in the 1500 meters. She has run 4:01.48 in the 1500m. Most recently, Grunewald ran the 2 mile at the Birmingham Diamond League meet on Aug. 24 in a personal best 9:41.76.
