"EmaLeigh has been a spark for us," Head Coach J.J. Weller said. "Don't know where we'd be without her."

Katelyn Peterson scored 21 points for Pillager sinking five 3-point baskets.

Roberts had three long-range buckets from downtown, as well.

Tori Kempenich and Ellie Rutten both had big games for the Eagles scoring 17 and 14 points respectively.

The Eagles shot 52 percent from the line (16-30), while the Huskies struggled making only seven of 22 attempts (32 percent), to account for a nine-point differential at the charity stripe.

The Eagles busted out to a 38-15 lead at halftime and kept pace with Peterson and the Huskies to cruise to the 19-point victory.

The win gives New York Mills a three-way share of the lead in the conference standings with Menahga and Sebeka, all with records of 1-0.

The Eagles suffered their only loss at Parkers Prairie 81-29 to the Panthers Thursday, Nov. 29.

Dorn hit eight threes on the night and added eight rebounds in a game that got out of hand early. The Panthers used 29 points from Dorn in the opening half to take a 51-11 lead into the break.
