Girls Basketball: Rebels remain undefeated in conference with win over Perham

PERHAM -- Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton continues to hold a one-game advantage on sole possession of first place in the Heart O' Lakes Conference with a 68-33 victory over Perham in girls basketball action Friday.

Perham continues to struggle for their first win of the season dropping their HOL record to 0-6 and 0-14 overall.

The Rebels maintain a one game lead atop the conference at 5-0. Hawley is 4-1 having lost previously to D-G-F with the teams' second meeting coming up at the end of January.

Pelican Rapids and Frazee are two games back of the Rebels at 3-2 in the HOL.

Analea Erickson's 14 points led Perham. Erickson was 5-8 from the field and made two of three attempts from behind the arc.

Tina Scheidecker scored nine points in the loss to the Rebels. Aside from Perham's two leaders, the Rebels held the remainder of the Yellowjackets to a total of 10 points.

D-G-F has a seasoned ball club this year with 14 upperclassmen, including 10 seniros.

The Rebels got all of their scoring from five seniors.

Sierra Senske scored 18 points shooting over 70 percent from the field (8-11).

Kinzie Molstre added 16 points and eight rebounds and six steals.

Katie Highness scored 13 points. Mandy Mercil added 11; Brooke Honek scored 10 points.

The Rebels shot nearly 60 percent from the floor making 24 of 41 shots. The Yellowjackets struggled shooting 29 percent (10-35).

D-G-F has an overall record of 9-3.
