Perham finished with nine first places in the 12 events and ended with 155 team points. Holdingford was next with 105 points, followed by S-M with 38.

Sophomore Kelsey Kratzke had a pair of first place finishes in the 200 individual medley (2:35.46) and the 100 breaststroke (1:14.24).

Another sophomore, Rylie Rothmeyer, was also a two-time individual winner. She finished first in the 200 free and 500 free.

Kratzke was also part of two winning relay teams, along with seniors Maggie Carlson and Whitney Carow, in the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay. Bailey Meyer was the fourth member of the medley relay team, Lexi Richter filled out the 200 free team.

Carlson, Richter, Rothmeyer and junior co-captain Zoe Potts gave Perham/NYM a sweep in the relay's with a win in the 400 free relay to finish the meet.

Other individual winners were Meyer (100 fly) and Sierra Lynne (diving).

It was the first look this season at the pool the girls will swim at for the Mid-State Conference Meet on Oct. 30. Five girls did qualify for Sections at the triangular: Kratzke (200 I.M., 100 breaststroke), Meyer (100 fly, 100 back), Rothmeyer (500 free), Carow (100 breaststroke) and Carlson (500 free).

"The section time cuts are all much faster than last year, some by over 10 seconds," head coach Sheri Ressler said. "So for this many girls to qualify now is great, making state times more of a reality."

Perham also won the J.V. meet with 124 points. Holdingford was second (98), followed by S-M (29).

The Lady Jackets will make a trip to St. Cloud today (Sept. 10) for a meet against St. Cloud Cathedral at Tech High School.

The girls will head north on Sept. 15 for a dual meet at Bemidji.
