A special thanks to Tanya Beachy who painted the Yellow Jacket logo on the 50-yard line last night, this is a first for PHS and without question gives Meinhover Field a big time college look!

Game Night-As has become the norm at PHS, this is more than football...it is a community celebration, here is what is on tap for tonight:

It's Homecoming! "Once a Yellow Jacket, Always a Yellow Jacket. Since 1915 and forever."

As you arrive at the field you'll see a pile of pallets & plywood, this is for the bonfire that will follow the game, introduction of royalty and fireworks show.

During introductions, when PHS scores, during royalty introductions and after the game you'll have fireworks provided by Mike Schmidt and co-funded by Mike, the Crossings (thanks Arnie and Connie Thompson) and the Perham Football Fundraiser. A special thanks to Fire Chief Mark Schmidt and the PFD for volunteering tonight.

Freshmen Dress Tonight-Welcome to the high school tradition of Friday Night Under the Lights at Meinhover Field. A crisp fall night, full moon, the smell of brats being grilled, fans in the stands...this is why a young man endures practice, along with a few bumps and bruises! Over the years many fine athletes have taken the field wearing the Yellow and Black, this year's Freshmen follow in some big footsteps...destined to leave their own mark on PHS football.

Halftime presentation: United Community Bank representative Lisa Glynn will present a check to the Activity Department of $5,500. This money stems from the weekly summer BBQ held at UCB and staffed by Yellow Jacket athletes, artists, coaches and directors. Our thanks to UCB for their continued support!

What to watch for:

There could be a school record broken tonight, can you guess the category? The former record holder, the new?

Who's wearing the Yellow Jacket costume tonight? Will "Buzz" have an effect on the crowd?

Itinerary:

7 p.m. Kick Off

Halftime UCB presents check to PHS Activity Department

Post Game Royalty introductions: Queen Emily Tobkin is with the cross country team in the Twin Cities, but King Jordan Hein will be here to join the royal court! After the introductions, the lights will be shut down and a short, but exciting, fireworks show with take place.
