KORTRIJK, BELGIUM — Perham’s Gabe Grunewald won her second consecutive 1,500m run Saturday breaking the meet record at the Guldensporenmeeting - Flanders Cup Kortrijk.

Grunewald’s time of 4:07.70 was three second better than the former record held by American Lauren Hagans 4:10.97, set in 2009.

Grunewald won her first European race eeting Sport Solidierta in Lignano, Italy July 8.

Grunewald is scheduled to run the 800m at the Gugl Games in Linz, Austria on July 15, followed by the 1500m at Heusden on July 19. She was scheduled to run the 800m in Belgium but switched to the 1,500m after winning in Italy.
