For the second time this season, the Lakers topped the Yellowjackets by under two points, this time prevailing by one-half point, 139.625 to 139.125.

Perham also holds one win on the Lakers this season, as well, by the smallest of margins. Perham opened up the season at the Jackie Mann Invitational, in Perham, with a victory scoring 137 points to the runners-up Lakers' 136.35.

DL seventh-grader Natalie Nelmark had a great meet Friday by winning two events, including the beam and vault with scores of 8.9 and 9.25, respectively.

Eighth-grader Molly Lyngaas won bars with a 9.55, while posting a first-place all-around mark of 36.175, while Nelmark was second at 35.95.

The vault was key for the Lakers, with the top four spots going to DL. Lyngaas was second with an 8.75, while Emma Disse was third at 8.625 and Hannah Okeson fourth with an 8.525.

The Yellowjackets and Lakers will be back in action after the holiday break.

The next meeting between the two teams is a dual Friday, Jan. 18 in Perham at 7:15 p.m.

Full meet results were not available at the time of this post.
