Hamann to provide free dental care to kids in need
Hamann Family Dentistry of Perham will join with dental professionals across the state this Friday to provide free dental care to children from low-income families.
The dental clinic is located at 200 First Avenue South in Perham. People interested in scheduling an appointment on Friday, Feb. 7 may call 346-4775.
The Minnesota Dental Association is sponsoring this statewide outreach effort, called Give Kids a Smile. About 200 clinics across the state will provide free dental care for this program in 2014.
“This is a special way to reach kids in need of dental care. Healthy teeth are vital to overall health and even a key to success in school,” according to Dr. Mike Hamann.
Hamann, along with his daughter Dr. Brooke Hamann and the rest of the professionals at Hamann Family Dentistry, will be participating in Give Kids A Smile for the sixth year in a row.
As the Brooke Hamann said at the conclusion of the program last year, “It is amazing to see how happy the children are to get their teeth cleaned, learn about tooth decay prevention and how appreciative the parents are for our services!”
Patients should be age 18 and younger and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Information on specific services that will be provided will be outlined when an appointment is scheduled.
