Harry Potter-mania in downtown Perham
The debut of the new Harry Potter movie attracted hundreds of fans to downtown Perham in the midnight hour.
Local movie theater owner Delores Wasche had a special "sneak preview" showing, at midnight, July 15. Fans arrived early, and by 11 p.m., July 14 there was a line a block long for the third movie in the series, "The Half Blood Prince."
"It was unbelievable," said Wasche. "They were out there in costume, they brought sandwiches, and were eating while they waited for the theater to open."
The midnight showing was essentially sold out, and Wasche is anticipating good crowds for the entire run of the movie in Perham--which will be showing through July 30.
