Health will not stop Dayton
ST. PAUL -- Mark Dayton said a hip problem will not prevent him from seeking a second term in the Minnesota governor’s office.
“Last I read, brain cells are located in the head, not the hip,” he told reporters wondering if a Wednesday procedure at the Mayo Clinic would change his plans.
If the procedure does not fix the hip, he added, “I will limp along.”
Dayton admitted that the June injury, which came when he slipped on the governor’s residence steps, has curtailed trips around the state, “but it hasn’t hindered my ability to function.”
