Henning man charged with felony assault, making terroristic threats
A Henning man is facing felony charges after an alleged confrontation that involved the use of a firearm. Dean Moats, 43, was charged in Otter Tail County Court Dec. 10 with assault with a dangerous weapon and making terroristic threats.
Court records state that law enforcement responded to a domestic dispute in Henning on Dec. 7. Moats was reportedly very upset after learning that a family member had driven a vehicle into a ditch. The domestic dispute, which heightened with use of a firearms threat, included a confrontation with the victim's mother.
Moats' next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 17.
