Heritage Fest features Native American Pow Wow

Held at the Pioneer Village August 14, 15, and 16, Perham's Heritage Festival provides affordable fun for the whole family. Admission is $6 per car, with primitive camping available for just $10 a night.

Highlights of this year's event include an authentic Native American Pow Wow (Aug. 15-16); the Lake Country Mountaineer Black Powder Rendezvous; a working old time saw mill; musical entertainment; re-enactments; folk art demonstrations; Native American art; and a wide variety of foods.

Admission is free on Friday, with a festival kickoff bash starting at 6 p.m. TJ's DJ Service will provide musical entertainment. Tap beer and food will be available, along with the opportunity to meet vendors and demonstrators.
