PERHAM — The No. 7 and No. 8 overall seeds Henning and Lake Park-Audubon have both forfeited their opening round games in the Hi-10 baseball playoffs canceling two of the four Hi-10 playoff games scheduled for today.

Both top seeds, Bertha (No. 1-East) and Perham (No. 1-West), move on to second round play scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, July 20.

The tournament is double elimination keeping both forfeiting teams alive for at least one more round in the loser's bracket.

The Bertha/LPA forfeit is listed on the tournament bracket. The Perham/Henning forfeit was annouced Friday afternoon on Twitter by the Pirates.

Four teams advance to the Region 14C playoffs out of the eight-team field. Region play begins Friday, Aug. 2.

Last year's 14C runners-up and Hi-10 playoff champions Bertha also made the trip to the 2012 state tournament as the top two teams in Regions qualify.
