Historical Society calls for Pioneer cleanup
The East Otter Tail County Historic Society is aiming to spruce up the grounds of Pioneer Village.
The clean up will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 1. Those who sign up for EOT County Historic Society memberships before the clean up will be eligible for a drawing for a $100 United Community Bank savings certificate. The drawing for the prize will be held at 5 p.m. at Pioneer Village following the clean up. Cost for yearly memberships run $5 for individuals and $10 for families.
For years, the Pioneer Village hosted a festival known as "Pioneer Days," which included old time farming. The last few years it has been called The Heritage Festival. The EOT County Historic Society is interested in preserving the historic past.
Those involved in the clean-up are asked to bring their own lawn tools. Food will be provided for all volunteers. Those interested in bringing dishes for a pot-luck to share are also encouraged to do so.
