Homeowners scare off would-be burglars
Two homeowners in Otter Tail County happened to return home just in time to scare off would-be burglars in two separate incidents near Henning last week.
One incident took place Oct. 31 at about 6 p.m., west of Henning on 480th Avenue. The homeowner had left his residence for a few minutes to run some errands, and when he returned he saw a suspect run away from his property. The would-be thief had broken a window but nothing was stolen from the home.
The second incident also took place near Henning, along Highway 134 south of town. A burglar entered an unlocked shed but ran from the scene when the owner approached. Nothing was missing from the shed.
