HOTL ambassadors visit Ronald McDonald House
Perham Minnesota 222 2nd Avenue SE 56573

Heart of the Lakes Elementary School fourth grade student ambassadors visited the Ronald McDonald House in Fargo last Friday.  Students were able to take a tour of the house and also did some volunteer work by helping clean up the yard, wash windows, and organize pop tabs to take to the recycling center.  With the tabs others had donated to the Ronald McDonald House and those that were collected in the Perham area throughout the past year, HOTL was able to donate more than 500 pounds of pop tabs and give $216 to the Ronald McDonald House. HOTL principal Kari Yates said the trip was a great way for students to get a better understanding of the RMH and the families they serve, as well as a chance to be true ambassadors by giving their time and energy to help others.
