Vergas child airlifted to Fargo after lawn mowing accident

Icy roads and speeding contribute to accidents

Slick roads and driving too fast were contributing factors in a number of accidents around Otter Tail County.

The county sheriff’s office reported five recent accidents, including one at the intersection of Highway 60 and 425th Avenue in Perham, and another just southeast of Perham, at the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 10.

Other crashes were reported along Highway 83 near Battle Lake, west of Wadena on Highways 75 and 29, and at Ironwood Drive in Fergus Falls.

No deaths or severe injuries were reported as a result of the accidents.

One road fatality was reported near Barnesville in nearby Clay County. A 32-year-old Wisconsin resident died when his pickup collided with a semi along Interstate 94, at 4:30 a.m. Monday.
