Ingebrigtsen won’t run for governor
Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen, of Minnesota District 8, announced last week that he would not be running for governor.
In a letter sent to media outlets, the Republican lawmaker said he had given the idea serious consideration, but, “Although I strongly feel that Minnesotans want a common sense conservative voice in the governor’s office, this is just not the right time for me to offer my service.”
Ingebrigtsen said he would continue to serve the people of District 8, and would work to regain a Republican majority in the next election cycle.“I want to thank everyone for their encouragement and wilingness to volunteer,” he said. “These wonderful folks and my family are the main reason why I serve in the Minnesota State Senate.”
