Isabelle L. Wohlsdorf, 81, of Detroit Lakes, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at her residence.
Isabelle L. Olds was born to Grant and Elizabeth (French) Olds on Oct. 18, 1926 in Shell Lake Township, rural Osage, where she grew up and attended country school. On Jan. 13, 1942 she married Peter Nelson. She worked at Swift's Turkey Plant in Detroit Lakes from 1957-64. She then moved to Medford, Ore., where she worked for the Modoc Packing House and the Medford Hotel.
Isabelle married Arthur Wohlsdorf on June 20, 1966. In 1967, they moved back to Detroit Lakes, where she again worked for Swift's until her retirement in 1988.
Isabelle liked fishing, baking, cooking, and traveling. She also loved spending time with her family.
Surviving Isabelle are her son, Thomas (Suzette) Nelson of Detroit Lakes; stepson, Floyd Wohlsdorf of Detroit Lakes; three stepdaughters, Sandra Olson of North Bend, Ore., Suzette (Thomas) Nelson of Detroit Lakes and Diane Wohlsdorf of North Bend, Ore.; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; first husband, Peter Nelson; second husband, Arthur Wohlsdorf; and one granddaughter, Lisa Nelson.
Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at West-Kjos Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at West-Kjos Funeral Home, with the Rev. Timothy Riley officiating. Burial will be in Shell Lake Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Osage.
