Isaiah Bauck takes honors at MN and Iowa State Fairs

Isaiah Bauck was named the winner of the Champion Columbia Yearling Ewe Lamb at the State Fair.

Of the 376 sheep shown at this year's Minnesota State Fair 4-H Breeding and Market Lamb Show held on August 27, Isaiah Bauck's ewe took top honors.

Judging the breeding sheep was Craig Beckmier. Judge Beckmier grew up in central Illinois on a 100 head commercial cow-calf operation and 75 head of purebred sheep. Currently, Beckmier is the animal science instructor and livestock judging team coach at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL.

In naming the Supreme Breeding Ewe, Beckmier pulled the Champion Columbia Yearling Ewe Lamb that was exhibited by Isaiah Bauck of New York Mills.

Bauck also took Reserve Champion Ram and the Premier Exhibitor award at the Iowa State Fair.
