The Yellowjackets would pound out 14 hits in the nightcap on way to a 10-8 victory.

"We didn't play very well defensively," Head Coach Hans Hanson said. "Too many unearned runs."

Between the two games the Jackets committed 13 errors in the field.

"We will need to improve in that area if we expect to beat good teams. I give Park Rapids a lot of credit, they were very tough outs and played well," Hanson said.

The tying run was stranded on third base in the final frame of game one.

Taylor Doll led all Perham hitters, 3-3 at the plate with a run and an RBI. Ben Bucholz, Shawn Stafki and Mike Warne all knocked in two runs.

The fifth inning of game two saw both teams plate five runs. A 5-3 game quickly became a 10-8 contest. T.J. Studer came on in relief of starter Taylor Doll and kept the Panthers off the board in the final two innings.
