"We have to make sure to get our mindsets on target from the first pitch," Head Coach Jill Walter said. "We did that in game two and were able to get a couple of runs. We need to continue to capitalize with base runners on and come up with some timely hits."

Park Rapids won a close game 5-4 in the opener.

"We knew that Park Rapids was going to be a good team," Walter said. "We weren't mentally ready for them in the first inning and the result after that inning was three runs in their favor."

The opener was a tight game with little to no errors, according to Walter.

Steph Miller went 2-4 with two doubles and two RBI; Kaila Formanek went 2-4 with an RBI,

Januszewski struck out eight and walked four taking the loss.

Tiana Lynne reached safely at the plate in game two going 2-2 with a walk, Januszewski hit a double in three attempts scoring a run and knocking one in. Natalie Wierbos scored the other Jacket run going 1-4 in the game.
