NY Mills' Brittin Roberts finished runner up in the 3200m run.

Jacket track fifth at Daggett Invite, Eagles 10th

The Perham boys track team took fifth place out of a dozen teams and New York Mills finished 10th in blustery, awful weather, at Frazee's Daggett Invitational.

Tyler Kuhl stayed consistent in the 300m hurdles with a second place finishing time of 42.42. The Eagles' Cole Strand was seventh in 46.34.

Strand was the only runner from either school to make the top 10 in the 110m hurdles. His time of 18.18 was good for eighth.

Mike Wiskow was in his usual spot cracking the top five in the 100m dash with a fifth place time of 11.96. Frazee's Forrest Jackson was first in 11.06.

Shogo Suzuki finished third in the 200m dash in a time of 24.29. Jackson won the event in 22.82, one of his three event titles on the day.

Brittin Roberts continues to shine in the 3200m run for NY Mills. His time of 10:27.47 was second to only Tyler Hennen, of Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, 10:21.96. Mark Shipman was the top Yellowjacket finishing 11:48.80, good for seventh. Ben Sullivan was ninth in 11:59.99.

James Vana was the only pole vault participant from either school to clear the bar. He cleared eight feet for a seventh place finish.

Jordan Bruhn took some of his air from the basketball court and used it for a second place long jump finish of 18-feet, six-inches. Desmine Duffy did the same for a fourth place finish of 17-feet, 10-inches. Jackson won the event at 20-feet, 3.5-inches. Cody Clarksean was the top Eagle in seventh with a jump of 16-feet, 5.25-inches.

In the shot put, Ben Collette finished fourth with a throw of 41-feet, 5.5-inches.
