Jackie S. Brunner, 45, of Moorhead, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at REM North Star Home after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Jackie Amundson was born March 16, 1963 in Minneapolis, and attended school in Coon Rapids, Minn., and later in Frazee. After high school, she became a licensed beautician in Eau Claire, Wis. Jackie married Patrick Brunner in Eau Claire and after 14 years of marriage gave birth to the love of her life, son Anthony Patrick "Tony" Brunner.

She always sent her love to the Brunner family of Eau Claire, Wis., especially Joe and Florence Brunner, who were so kind to her.
Jackie will be remembered and missed by her son, Tony Brunner of Eau Claire; mother, Bonnie Hodgson Remmen of Perham; two brothers, Bob Amundson of Dell City, Okla., and Jerry Amundson of Fargo; as well as one sister, Dina Schultes of Perham.
Jackie's family would like to send out a big "Thank You" to the REM North Star staff and Hospice of the Red River Valley for being extraordinary human beings with the kindness and caring compassion they have displayed. As Jackie would say, "You are all wonderfully awesome."
Private family services will be held at a later date. The David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes is serving the family. An online guestbook is at www.daviddonehower.com.
