Janice was born on April 3, 1933, in Gorman Township, Perham, to Frank and Fronie (Stodolka) Steinbach. Janice worked at Ebeling's Cafe before marrying John Wientjes on May 28, 1953 at St. Henry's Catholic Church. They then moved to a condo in the town of Perham and in January 2012 to assisted living in Park Rapids.
Janice loved the lake and fishing and looked forward to the grandkids coming over on weekends in the summer to swim. She enjoyed spending many a Saturday evening playing cards (Schmier) with family and friends; more recently, before moving to Park Rapids, playing whist with Arlene and Delores and John.
