A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Jean Hoffman at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena. Minn. Visitation will be held at the St. Ann's Parish Center from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. A rosary will be said in the church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Bluffton, Minn.

Jean is survived by her children: Carol Ann Hoffmann (Ralph J. Ryan) of Maplewood, Minn.; Jeanette (Jerome) Hansen of St. Cloud, Minn.; Kathy (Dean) Jaacks of St. Cloud; John (Sandy) Hoffmann of Bemidji, Minn.; Don Hoffmann (Rick Fisher) of Wadena; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, Magdeline "Maggie" Siebels, Perham.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Peter Hoffmann; one grandchild, Jamie Hoffmann and two great-grandchildren; her seven sisters: Sr. Henrica OSB, Sr. Edwardine OSB, Sr. Melchoir OSB, Sr. Christophine OSB, Sr. Eulalia Siebels OSB, Frances Hemmelgarn, and Gertrude Boedigheimer; and three brothers, Joseph, Henry J. and Al Siebels.

Jean, baptized Regina, was the daughter of Henry E. and Christina (Bahner) Siebels of Perham, and farmed with her husband, Carl, west of Wadena. She passed away Tue., July 22, 2014, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Sauk Rapids, Minn., where she had lived the last three years to be close to her daughters.
