Former Glenwood resident Judith "Judy" Anderson, 66, of Garrison, Minn., died Thursday, August 7, 2008, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.

Judith Marlene Monson was born to James K. and Bessie L. (Matthews) Monson on Aug. 30, 1941 in Hawthorne, Calif. Judy grew up in Pomona, Calif., and graduated from Pomona High School in 1959. Following high school, she attended Mt. San Antonio College for one year. On Aug. 6, 1960, Judy married David Anderson in Pomona. The couple made their home in California until 1964, when they moved to Minnesota, residing first in Minnetonka and then in Deep Haven.

In 1972, they purchased a farm near Glenwood, where they resided until 1994, when they moved to Detroit Lakes. They resided in Detroit Lakes for 10 years. Most recently Judy and David made their home in Garrison.

Judy took care of the office work for David's construction, farming and trucking businesses and while living in Detroit Lakes, she was employed for nine years at Team Industries as a data document control manager. She enjoyed cooking, reading, computer games and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving Judy are her husband of 48 years, David Anderson of Garrison; her three daughters, Julie (Leo) Parvis of Chaska, Minn., Sallie (Kelly) Olson of Glenwood and Sarah (Galal) Saleh of Little Canada, Minn.; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Carol Wasson of Denver, Colo., and Sandi (Kelly) Klipstein of Mohave Valley, Ariz.

Judy's parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Glenwood, with the Rev. Randy Chrissis officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.
