Perham scored all their runs in the first inning of game one and held that lead until the fourth inning, up 5-4.

The Laker bats went shifted into overdrive and DL put up 19 runs on 12 hits in the final two innings of the mercy-rule shortened game.

From the second inning on, only two Perham batters reached base.

Tina Schmitz reached on a walk with two away in the fourth.

Ali Christenson was safe at first on an error at the bag in the fifth. She would be forced at second when Allie Doll hit a sharp grounder to shortstop inducing the 5-4-3 double play.

Laker freshman Chaz Butz pitched a strong outing after being roughed up in the first. She faced two over the minimum in the final four innings on the rubber.

Ashley Silbernagel took the loss for Perham.

DL's two through five hitters in the order, Laurenn Johnson, Brianna Seebold, Sadie Larson and Jenna Lamb all scored four times in the game.

Game two saw little in the way of positives for the Yellowjackets.

Perham failed to score and the Lakers again put up double digits in the run column in a 15-0 victory to complete the sweep.

The loss drops the Yellowjackets three games below .500 at 6-9. Perham is 4-8 in the Mid-State Conference.

The Lakers bump up to second in the conference standings at 8-2. DL is 11-4 overall and have a big match-up coming this week at home versus undefeated Pequot Lakes (16-0, 10-0). The results will determine the top of the conference as no other team in the Mid-State has more than five conference victories besides the two front-runners.

Perham will play Section 8-2A foe Pelican Rapids (1-5) Tuesday before the Frazee Tournament on Saturday.
