Legion Baseball: Bandits sweep Buzz

PERHAM — The Thief River Falls Bandits (Post 117) outscored the Perham Buzz 18-8 in sweeping a pair of games Thursday night in American Legion baseball action.

The Bandits outscored the Buzz 12-5 in the first two innings of game one and outhit Perham 16-5 in the game culminating in a 14-7 victory.

Peter Samuelson homered for Thief River Falls. JT Laughlin went yard for Perham and was 2-5 at the plate. Josh Still also had a multi-hit game going 2-3.

Turner Storm picked up the pitching victory, while Eric Brauch took the loss.

In the nightcap, Holden Nelson hit a grand slam in the fourth inning for the Bandits’ only runs of the game in a 4-1 win to complete the sweep.

Griffin Helmeke scored for Perham.

Nick Hoppert gained the victory on the hill. Josh Still took the loss for Perham.
