To the Editor:
If you are an Edna Township resident, are you aware of how your township is being run?
Do you know that your taxes are being used to pay attorney fees to defend the board chairman and previous board members for illegal activities?
Do you know your taxes are being used to pay fines levied against your board chairman and previous board members for illegal activities?
Do you know your taxes will more than likely be used to reimburse land owners for illegal actions performed on their properties that were directed by the board chairman and previous board members?
Do you know that recent road improvement projects had large actual cost overruns versus estimated costs making your taxes and road assessments considerably higher than they should have been?
Are you aware of the cronyism that exists in your township? Projects and services are performed by board family members. Last fall a road was illegally and incorrectly constructed by the board chairman's brother and nephew from the Twin Cities costing the township over $34,000. Due to the fact that the project was done incorrectly, the road must be redone adding additional expense to the township.
Residents, please know what is going on in your township and vote in people who are honest, have integrity and will operate the township in an honest, efficient manner.
