Letter to the Editor: Get involved in the fight against cancer
More than 100 years ago, the American Cancer Society was started by volunteers relentless in their desire to change the course of cancer’s history.
Today, the American Cancer Society thanks its more than 3 million volunteers – including the many volunteers here in Otter Tail County – each of whom is creating their own legacy of compassion and dedication toward the collective goal of finishing the fight against cancer.
During National Volunteer Week, April 6-12, the American Cancer Society invites you to stand with us to continue that legacy.
I became involved because cancer has affected those I love. Now I want to fight back and make a difference.
Whether driving cancer patients to and from treatment, making meals for patients staying at a Hope Lodge, leading a team at our local Relay For Life event or advocating for change, your impact matters greatly.
