LETTER TO EDITOR: Legislative town meetings to be rescheduled
To the editor:
Just a note to let you know I regret icy road conditions prevented me from attending the series of town hall meetings we had planned throughout the area Saturday. I decided it would be better to attend the events another day instead of risking life and limb on the slick roads.
I am working to reschedule the town halls sometime after the upcoming legislative session begins February 4, and will pass along the details as we get times, dates and locations ironed out.
One other thing I'd like to mention is that precinct caucuses will take place Feb. 2. I encourage you to attend because these meetings are a great way to be active in local politics and have your voice heard at the grass-roots level.
All of the February 2 caucus meetings will start at 7 p.m., and you can find your specific location by calling the county auditor's office or by logging on to the Minnesota Secretary of State's Web site: www.sos.state.mn.
