Letter to the Editor: Obama has not saved the auto industry

Email

President Obama is claiming that he has saved the auto industry, and is spending less money than any other president.

He reminds me of some lines from Lewis Carroll's poem, "The Walrus and the Carpenter," where Carroll wrote:

"'The time has come,' the Walrus said,

'To talk of many things:

Of shoes and ships and sealing wax,

Of cabbages and kings.

And why the sea is boiling hot,

And whether pigs have wings.'"

Obama (aka Walrus) believes he sees pigs flying all around the Capitol, and I can believe that. However, I am not one of his oysters like his mindless, gullible followers. I know that Obama spent billions of taxpayers' money to buy GM and Chrysler and give them to the unions - with a net loss of over a hundred thousand jobs in the auto companies and their part suppliers.

About the only significant industry Obama has saved is the printing industry, printing all the food stamps unemployed Americans now depend on.

This country can no longer afford Obama's version of 'thrift.'
