Letter: ITOW museum a gem for Perham community
WAKE UP, Wake up, people of Perham and the surrounding area! Are you aware of the gem we have in Perham? Sure, Perham has many, but this one is even unique in the U.S.A. It is the ITOW (In Their Own Words) Museum located at 805 West Main. It is well worth your time to visit and go through it. Sometimes there are special exhibits to view too, such as the posters of World War I and II "Seeds of Victory" which ends November 12th.
There have been many very special and interesting programs in the past and coming up this weekend are 3 as follows:
Friday, Nov. 5, 7 p.m. $12 in advance & $15 at the door. "Theory of the Mind" which is a "portrait of a young man with Asperger's Syndrome."
Saturday, Nov. 6, 4 to 6 p.m. is a very special fashion show, "Rags to Riches" with appetizers and wine $15. All are worth the price of the ticket.
Sunday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m., "The Mushroom Picker," which by the title, you probably wouldn't know that it's about a grandson discovering that his grandfather being hailed as the liberator of Czechoslovakia in May 1945. This is free to the public, and there have been many free programs in the past and many upcoming in the future.
Do support our veterans past and presently serving our good old United Stats of America.
