Library Table Fair fundraiser is Saturday
This Saturday evening, join the Friends of the Library in their annual Table Fair Fundraiser, at SteVelly's in Perham.
For the price of a $65 ticket, guests will be entertained, enjoy a good meal and have the chance to bid on unique items in both a live and silent auction.
The Table Fair is the one big fundraising event put on by the Perham Friends of the Library, a nonprofit group that offers financial support for local library events.
Library director Susan Heusser-Ladwig invites everyone to join them for this event: "It's a great cause that helps support a lot of great services for kids and adults in the community."
The tables throughout SteVelly's restaurant will once again contain original displays, set by volunteer community members. Past years' tables have included creative displays following certain themes, such as wine or chocolate. One table even has a sports theme.
Guests can have their first glimpse at the table settings during social hour, starting at 5 p.m. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with a live and silent auction continuing throughout the evening until 8 p.m.
The Crazy Keys, a piano duo, will entertain the crowd with a wide selection of popular music along with some classic rock pieces. A dance will finish off the night, starting after 8 p.m.
All funds earned from the Friends of the Library fundraisers help pay for activities such as the summer and winter reading programs and author visits. The funds have also updated books, office equipment and computers, as needed.
