Local bank to give away "mini" makeover
United Community Banks of Perham and Frazee are excited to announce the launch of their "Mini" Home Makeover contest.
In the spirit of the hit television show "Extreme Makeover Home Edition," United Community Bank is giving away a "mini" home makeover valued at over $1,500. The makeover could include painting, windows, room updates, and landscaping, small scale remodeling projects, interior/exterior repairs, appliances or any other improvements the applicant wishes to apply for.
All applications will be considered by a team of employees and one lucky recipient will be selected and announced on June 23, 2010.
Applications can be picked up at all United Community Bank branches or area churches. Applicants are asked to complete a short application form and submit a photo of the area of their home they would like made-over. Applications will be taken from now until June 15, 2010 and can be dropped off at any United Community Bank location.
United Community Bank employees will be pooling their talents and tapping into other community resources to complete the project. The approximate completion time for the project is August 15, 2010.
United Community Bank has been active in many other community service projects in the past. In 2007, the bank raised over $15,000 for the World War II Honor Flight sending area World War II veterans to visit their memorial in Washington D.C. In the summer or 2008, Round Up for Education raised over $15,000 for the Perham and Frazee school districts.
"These projects really bring our employees together as a team. We are continually impressed by the creativity and the willingness to volunteer to reach a common goal," said Bob Cavanagh, Vice President of United Community Bank.
