Four New York Mills youth with St. John the Baptist in Bluffton presented a check to the Wadena Area Crisis Pregnancy Center last week after raising funds for nearly two months. The group attended a summer camp in June of last year called "Youth In Theology and Ministry," where they were encouraged to do a service justice project in their community or parish. They decided to help the pregnancy center by asking people to fill baby jars/bottles with loose change during Lent. They finalized their project in the middle of May and presented the leaders of the center with a check in the amount of $2,647.61. Pictured, left to right, are: Carolyn Reichelt, secretary; Lucy Andrie, director; students Nicole Hendrickx, Kyle Vorderbruggen, Sarah Dykhoff and Andrew Perala; Carol Rowan, vice president; and Larry Sworski, president.
