LRAC ‘Meet and Greet’ coming to Perham library
The public is invited to a free Lake Region Arts Council ‘Meet and Greet’ presentation at the Perham Area Public Library on Tuesday, July 30 at 3:30 p.m.
The presentation is one of a few that will be held in the region through August, as part of an effort by the LRAC to educate the public about the organization and the services it offers to area artists.
LRAC serves individual artists in all disciplines; literary, music, performance, visual arts, etc., with grants, an artist registry and resources. It is the largest funder of the arts in the area, awarding nearly $300,000 in 2012.
Presenters Maxine Adams, LRAC executive director, and Betsy Ostenson, LRAC grant manager, will explain the grant process and discuss the types of grants available for individual artists and organizations.
Michele Anderson, Springboard for the Arts Lake Region Office, will discuss the services available to individual artists to help plan and develop their careers.
There are grants and resources available to help artists of all kinds advance their crafts and thrive. LRAC is available to ignite artist creativity and sharpen artistic skills.
