Man arrested in connection with ATM thef in Callaway
CALLAWAY, Minn. - A Callaway man is charged in connection with the June 7 theft of an ATM machine from a bank here, and a warrant has been issued for his alleged accomplice.
According to Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon, investigators executed a search warrant Monday after receiving information about an unrelated incident being investigated by Detroit Lakes police.
The search led to the arrest Monday of Jeremy Joseph Miller, 31, of Callaway, formerly of South Dakota. He's accused of stealing the ATM machine and the vehicle used in the theft, Gordon stated in a news release.
A warrant has been issued for Miller's alleged accomplice, Craig Steven Mastenbrook, 23, of rural Detroit Lakes and also formerly of South Dakota.
Gordon asked that anybody who knows Mastenbrook's whereabouts call their local law enforcement agency and not confront him.
Miller is being held in the Becker County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Gordon didn't release further details, citing the ongoing investigation.
