Man charged with murder in drug-related death
A Fergus Falls man has been arrested and charged with 3rd degree murder in connection with the death of a 23-year-old who overdosed on meth and heroin.
A report from the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office states that Christopher Allen Tiffany, age 27, was arrested on Monday at the county Detention Facility, where he was being held on unrelated charges.
The body of Thomas Rasmusson was found Aug. 10 in a motor vehicle south of Fergus Falls, ac-cording to the report. An autopsy indicated the cause of death as an overdose of illegal drugs including methamphetamines and opiates.
An investigation by authorities found that Tiffany had assisted Rasmusson is obtaining the drugs.
The West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force and the Fergus Falls Police Department assisted the sheriff's office with this investigation.
