Man in critical condition after crash near Pelican Rapids
Three Pelican Rapids residents were hurt -- one is in critical condition -- after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Otter Tail County.
Robert L. Peterson, 83, of Pelican Rapids is in critical condition, according to the State Patrol.
A passenger in his 2013 Kia Rio was also hurt: Luverne D. Peterson, 82, of Pelican Rapids suffered non life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 2007 Chevy Silverado, was Matthew J. Milbeck, 29, of Pelican Rapids. He suffered minor injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The Kia was northbound on Otter Tail County Road 9.
The Silverado was stopped at a stop sign on 450th St., turned onto County Road 9 to go northward, and struck the Kia, according to the State Patrol.
The collision occurred about a mile south of the Pelican Rapids airport. It was reported at 8:18 a.m. on dry two-lane blacktop. The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
