Man who stole credit card in Perham sentenced
Clyde Eugene Hughes, 31, of Moorhead, Minn., was sentenced May 31 in connection to the theft of a credit card in Perham last October. He also had been charged with possession of marijuana.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office reports that Hughes was sentenced to six months in county jail, with 121 days stayed for time already served. Sentencing in district court also included a $1,000 fine. Hughes will be on probation for five years.
Sentencing also includes outpatient treatment for chemical abuse.
According to the sheriff's office, Hughes stole a credit card from an apartment in Perham. He subsequently used the card in four transactions.
Legal authorities commended Perham police for their work in solving this case.
