Maxine Clara Moenkedick, 73, of Perham, MN, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Frazee Care Center, Frazee, MN. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Greg Paffel officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 21, from 5 - 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham.
Maxine was born August 20, 1935, in Washington County, the daughter of Herman and Margaret (Chennaux) Grosskreutz. She was united in marriage to Henry Moenkedick on April 1, 1967, in Perham. Maxine enjoyed her grandchildren and being on the go, "zeening," as her children called it. Her laugh was infectious and enjoyed by many!
Maxine is survived by seven children, Barbara (Mark) Lenius, Perham, Debra (Roger) Sazama, Perham, Vickie (Nick) Moenkedick, Bertha, MN, Cindy (Artie) Ziolkowski, Perham, Kevin (Pansi) Millage, Cannon Falls, MN, Kathy Moenkedick, Perham, and Herman Moenkedick, Perham; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald (Mary) Grosskreutz; five sisters, Shirley Larson, Laura Wallman, Carol (Hank) Schlomka, Shannon (Claude) Rogers, and Frances VanHenveln.
Preceding Maxine in death are her parents; husband, Henry; son-in-law, Nick; and two brothers, Walter and Robert Grosskreutz.
