Moorhead man arrested after stabbing incident
MOORHEAD - A 25-year-old Moorhead man is in police custody after allegedly stabbing his roommate in the chest early Tuesday, Moorhead police Sgt. Tory Jacobson said.
Ronald J. Curley was arrested on suspicion of felony assault and was being interviewed by investigators this morning to determine what led to the stabbing, Jacobson said.
Police were called to a reported stabbing at 4:35 a.m. at a duplex townhouse at 3017 Covent Gardens St. S., near the Village Green Golf Course.
Andrew Vivier, 41, who lives at the home with Curley, was taken to Innovis Hospital, Jacobson said.
Vivier was treated and released, hospital spokeswoman Kris Olson said at 8:10 a.m.
Police believe they have recovered the knife used in the stabbing, he said.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the incident, he said.
Another party at the house reported the stabbing. Curley, who was arrested at the home without incident, had scratches and redness consistent with the altercation described between the two men, Jacobson said.
